"Real World" - Environment Modelling

This is the environment that had a completely different workflow from the rest of the film. The textures were fully done in Blender, changing the shader's light and shadows to be something similar to that of watercolour.

Due to the stylised design of this part of the film, we wanted the Real World to also be designed in the same way. We first changed the color of the grass to a pastel purple and purposely made the blades of grass much thicker than what one would see in a realistic render of grass. This made the blades of grass look more like singular brush strokes and appear softer when swaying in the wind. We also made sure that the reflections on the water kept this painterly style as well so as to not break the immersion.
